We can’t confirm the details yet… but it looks like Haven Coffee is closing it’s doors for the last time in about two weeks. Below is a thank you (or to me, more like a heartfelt love letter) to the owners and the community that was built there, by Nikki Jauron.
My thanks and absolute adoration to Dale, because without your support, I would have never been able to do the things I’ve done over the course of the past 8 years…
You’ve been a tremendous stepping stone in my world. And I’m going to love you all forever and I’m gonna miss you all. Because You’ve given me so much. And you’ve been with me through every patrch of difficulty I’ve had.
And as I sit here, quietly, and look around at the place most like my living room on this planet, I know you will be gone in two weeks time…
And while I have a million things to do within those two weeks…
It will be hard pressed to keep my mind off of anything more than knowing I’m going to miss you with every shred of my being.
And so I hope with all my heart that I can continue to share the gifts and enthusiasm for them with anyone who would hear them and love them as much you have…
As with anything else we must let go of, I could only wish for more time to dwell within your halls of community and cameraderie.
All my thanks, and all my blessings, and I wish I could have given you more.
I love you, Haven.
Lisa Watson and Peter Shanky, along with staff, friends and family celebrate Cupcake Jones’ 3 year birthday!
Hot pop duo Nikki & Rich performing last night on Leno – fortunately for us, the album lands this summer! We can’t wait!
True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard stars in this faux-gay bizarre (drunken?) air-guitar-meets-lipsync at a friends apartment…with a faux butt bite to boot! Probably a marketing ploy of some kind, but guess what? It worked! Here we are watching it and loving it; what say you?
Friend to the magazine Sharon Murtagh has been slaving away at her new business (Murtagh Marketing Solutions) and today released a sneak peek into a commercial she shot with photographer Horace Long. But for us, it’s like a cliff hanger! We want to see the whole deal…soon enough we’re sure, soon enough…
Up to his usual tricks, Bill O’Reilly talks about the McDonald’s gay ad in France and says, “I will guarantee you that will never run here,” meaning in the U.S. But before that his segment commentator explains it is a campaign called, “Come as you are” showing people, all different types in everyday life, showing the world as it truly is; this one just happens to be the gay version of several. He asks, “Oh do they have one for Al Quada?” Keep being classy O’Reilly. And yes, we’re pretty sure you did it for ratings.
