We are looking for a few great sales reps with positive personality, that are team players and the energy to produce for the company and for themselves in a commission only sales position.
You will be required to work independently and be able to manage your time and meet personal daily goals for for this commission only position. Knowledge of ad sales along with positive attitude and great communication skills are necessary.
You will be working with a group of fun but seriously motivated business people who are all committed to the cause of the business; a growing local LGBTIQ magazine. This is a very professional, high-quality publication, and you will be representing it when on appointments. Demeanor must always be positive and approachable, with the magazine mission as your first priority when on the clock. Your role will be to build, promote and communicate the vision of this fast growing, in demand publication while prospecting and selling ad space.
All qualified applicants must provide their own cell phones and vehicles. You will be on a 1099 contract, making you eligible for tax-write offs for expenses incurred with the position.
Skills and Qualifications:
previous ad sales skills, positive, outgoing attitude, ability to close sales
communications skills; listening, verbal and written communication
detail oriented, self motivation, cold calling techniques, account management skills, ability to generate and follow up prospects
Duties of this position:
report to the Ad Sales Director
submit daily action reports
work independently
submit ad orders daily to graphic and ad departments

Portland Metro, outlying areas with further expansion in the near future.
